Memorial service for William H. "Bill" Todd, 87, of Timpson, TX, will be held at 1:00 PM,
Monday, March 11, 2013, at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Timpson, with Bro. Dwayne Sowell officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM on Monday. Mr. Todd passed away March 6, 2013, in Nacogdoches, TX.
Born August 27, 1925, in Bastrop, LA, William Harvey Todd was the son of the late Ray Stewart Todd and Virginia (Chenault) Todd. After graduating from high school, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Bill attended the University of Houston and Texas A & M University. He and Joycelyn Robicheaux were married May 29, 1955, in New Iberia, LA. Bill retired as an electrical engineer from Tuboscope.
After his retirement, Bill and Joy moved to Timpson and began to enjoy country living. Bill's life became filled with his "cowboying" - riding horses and raising cattle. He enjoyed watching Western movies, especially those with John Wayne. Being gifted mechanically, Bill was able to fix almost anything, and he also found pleasure with woodworking. Bill was a member of Timpson Church of Christ and American Legion Post #90.
Survivors include his wife Joy Todd of Timpson; daughters: Donna Todd of Timpson, Lysa Donalson and husband Tom of East Benard, TX, and Michelle King and husband Ty of Mercer Island, WA; sons: SFC William Todd, Jr. and wife Susan of Jacksonville, TX, and David Todd and wife Carole of Houston; brothers: Stewart Todd of Nacogdoches, James Todd and wife Sally of Sugar Land, TX, Dan Todd and wife Sybil of Swartz, LA, and John Todd and wife Pat of Denton, TX. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Caitlin Skye Todd, Meredith Michelle Todd, Nicholas King, Jonathan King, Braden Horn Todd, Riley Todd, Kurt Todd, Wyatt Todd, Bryce Todd, and Kyle Todd.
