With heavy hearts, we remember and celebrate the life of Sarah Youngblood Stilley, who left us on October 15, 2023, in Timpson, Texas. Born on July 5, 1940, in Timpson, she added warmth and love to the world around her.
Sarah’s journey began in Lufkin, Texas, where she graduated from Hudson High School in 1958 and earned her degree from Stephen F. Austin in 1961. She spent most of her life in Spring, Texas, filled with love, family, and cherished memories. In 2012, she returned to Timpson, the place she had always called home.
Sarah’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Bobby Stilley, her son Russell Stilley and his wife Veronica, and her cherished grandchildren, including Lauren Najari and her husband Anthony, Cara Taber and her husband Hunter, Braden Stilley, Makenzie Hauser, and her great-grandchildren, Ava and Charlotte Najari, and her brother, Mickey Youngblood, and his wife, Martha. Sarah’s love extended to cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.W. and Melma Youngblood, and her daughter, Shanna Stilley.
Pallbearers will be Braden Stilley, Scott Calloway, Will Johnson, Hunter Taber, Tony Najari, and Bubba Carrington.
To honor and remember Sarah, we invite you to join us for a visitation on Wednesday, October 18, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, Texas, with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 am at Corinth Cemetery.
