Ruby Hudgins Obituary
Funeral service for Ruby Faye Strong Risinger Hudgins, 94, of Timpson, Texas, will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at First United Methodist church, Timpson, with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, with a celebration of her life at First United Methodist church after. Mrs. Hudgins passed away January 21, 2012, at Nacogdoches Medical Center Hospital.
Born July 27, 1917, at the Sand Flats in Mount Enterprise, Faye was the daughter of the late Josie (Norsworthy) and Beeman Strong also of Mount Enterprise. A 1935 graduate of Mount Enterprise High School and member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1944, Faye was widely known as a caring and loving individual to all those who knew her. She worked at Brinson's clothing store in downtown Timpson for 28 years and attended the First United Methodist Church of Timpson.
Survivors include her son Johnny Risinger and wife Petra of Timpson; stepson James Hudgins of Temple, TX; brother Morgan Strong and wife Delores of Tyler, TX; sisters Dorothy Telschow of The Woodlands and Joan Pinkerton of Longview; nieces and nephews; five grandchildren: Henry Brock of Nacogdoches; David Brock of Boston, Mass.; Darrin Minderman of Fallbrook, Calif.; and Jennifer Hartnaggle of Temple, TX; and Ethan Hudgins of Timpson; ten great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudgins was preceded in death by spouses Bowden Risinger and James Hudgins, daughter Connie Risinger, brothers Homer and Charles Strong; and sisters Sarah Strong and Francis Kiesewetter.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson.
