Pearlie Mae (Ramey) Webster, 84, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on December 19, 2023, in Conroe, Texas. She was born in Tenaha, Texas, on October 26, 1939, to the late Alton Ramey and Ida (Ramey) Thompson. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, Texas. She will be laid to rest at Old Home Cemetery in Paxton.
Pearlie Mae’s heart of gold was illuminated through Christ, which she proudly conveyed to her grandchildren or in passing to a casual stranger. She was the epitome of a caretaker, having three kids of her own to raise, babysitting 15+ children at a time in her own home, raising grandchildren, and caring for her paralyzed stepdaughter for many years. Pearlie Mae has now “finished the race,” but her legacy will live on in our memory!
Pearlie Mae is survived by her son, Carl Barrett, and wife, Sheila of Tyler, Texas; stepchildren, Russell Webster, Jr. and wife, Kaye of Sugarland, Texas, Renee Webster of Magnolia, Texas, and Tamarah Webster DeLozier of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Brian Barrett, Brandie Twitty and husband, Hal, Candie Permenter, Jeremy Permenter, Elizabeth Bowley, and husband, Jeremy, Larry Gene Barrett, Jr., Andrew Barrett and wife, Kayla, and Cameron DeLozier; and great-grandchildren, Levi Asher Twitty, Brianna Albright, Haley Goodman, Kyler Bowley, Layton Bowley, Korbynn Bowley, Haley Twitty, Hunter Twitty, and Heath Twitty.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alton Ramey and Ida Thompson; husbands, Porter (Punkin) Barrett and Russell F. Webster; daughter, Debra Kay Barrett; and son, Larry Gene Barrett.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to honor Pearlie Mae to Heart to Heart Hospice.
