Perry Lee Beard, 58, of Milam, Texas, formerly of Timpson, Texas passed away at his home on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Perry was born in Nacogdoches Texas, raised in the Sheldon community near Houston, Texas. Although Perry and his family grew up in Sheldon, Timpson was always considered home. They would travel back home each weekend. He graduated Sheldon High School and went to work as a contractor for Union Pacific Railroad where he retired after many years. He acquired the home of his dream 12 years ago in Milam, Texas. This lakefront home would accompany his passion for fishing and hunting. During his life he enjoyed anything having to do with the outdoors. Fishing and hunting were among his favorite pastimes. Perry loved running lines on the river. He would many times catch fish as big as him. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Perry was considered an awesome cook by many. When gatherings would occur Perry would always prepare an outstanding meal. Perry also enjoyed woodworking. He could just about do anything. Whatever Perry was doing he was enjoying it.
Perry is survived by his son, Perry Lee Beard Jr.; brothers, Randy Beard and wife Martha, Terry Beard and wife Carol, Donny Beard and wife Darlene, Ronny Beard; sisters, Sandra Beard, Becky Palmer and husband Bobby, Barbara West and husband Michael; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
