Novis Jones

Novis M. Jones was called by her Heavenly Father January 26, 2013, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 91. She was born to Henry Bowlin and Myra Whitson Bowlin December 8, 1921. She will be remembered for her poetry having written a poem for many occasions. She was a life-long resident of the Buena Vista and New Prospect communities having moved to Paxton and then to Carthage, Texas in her latter years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Jones; her parents, Henry and Myra Whitson Bowlin; her borther, Bevie Lee Bowlin; and her sister, Ruby Towns.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Jones Bell, Tyler; son, Biff H. Jones, Carthage; grandchildren Bill Bell, Belinda Cook, Brenda Shepherd, Barbara Powers, and Beth Calhoun, Tyler; 15 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
