Mary Carolyn Phillips, 79, of Waskom, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2016 in Marshall, Texas. She was born on July 4, 1937 in Timpson, Texas, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Bogue) Brannon. Graveside service was held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Dudley McIntyre officiating.
Carolyn was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a loving woman who enjoyed running the roads as she called it. Nothing brought her greater joy than rocking her grand children and watching them grow up. She was an excellent seamstress who loved to sew. Her smile was contagious and giving nature unforgettable. Carolyn was a great cook and teacher. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and she would drop everything to be with them.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Thomas Mack "Rusty" Cranford and wife Shirley of Caledonia, Texas; daughters, Mechael Scott and husband Rex of Elysian Fields, Texas, and Micah Nutt and husband Jody Grubbs of Timpson, Texas; brother, Ronnie Brannon and wife Rachel of Hallsville, Texas; sisters, Rita Busby and husband Thomas of Waskom, Texas, Linda Stanaland and husband Edgar of Woden, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Bueton and husband Adam of Midland, Texas, Jason Cranford of Nacogdoches, Texas, Mindi Ducharm of Timpson, Texas, Erika Scott and husband Brad of Elysian Fields, Texas, Josh Cranford of Nacogdoches, Texas, Emily Scott of Waskom, Texas, Markus Harber and wife Jenn of Marshall, Texas, Anna Cranford of Nacogdoches, Texas, Connie and husband Raymond Tinkle of Timpson, Texas, and Kerri Kolb and husband Kevin of Gainesville, Texas; great grandchildren, Brannon Brooks Bueton, Rex Bradlee Scott, Laurie Ellington Bueton, Erik Thomas Scott, Lucy Elizabeth Bueton, Kylee Rusk, Madison Harber, Jack Skinner, Allison Beard, Markus Harber, Gabriel Harber, Macy DeBarge, Kaden Cranford, Codie Cranford, Brent, Kylie, and Katie Kolb; great great grandson, Cayson DeBarge; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Derrick Shaw "Ricky" Brannon.
