Mary Ruth (Griffin) Braddock

Mary Ruth Braddock, 78, of Timpson, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2021, in Timpson, Texas. She was born on November 19, 1942 in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Edgar Hugh and Ruth Hanson (Parker) Griffin. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Mary grew up in Amarillo. She graduated from Palo Dura High School. She then attended West Texas State University.  She married the love of her life, Gerald Braddock, on December 30, 1978.  Mary spent much time reading and enjoyed studying history.  She loved the outdoors, especially gardening. When Mary was not reading, or outdoors, you could find her watching a game show or old western on the television.  Mary cherished the moments spent with her children, especially the grandchildren.  She loved each one dearly.

She is survived by her sons, Kenny Altman and wife Elaine, Bryan Braddock and wife Whitney; daughters, Kimber Altman, Kristi Altman, Kelly Huffer and husband Tim, Heather Braddock, Meredith Hochstein and husband Michael; grandchildren, Candice Anderson, Cassie Anderson and husband Juan, Madison Altman, Stacey Huseman, Paige Booth and husband Brantley, Katie Chloun and husband Hadi, Sean Altman and wife Mary, Savannah Morgan, Armani Morgan, Liam Morgan, Gannan Braddock, Laiton Braddock, Chance Hochstein, Creed Hochstein, Callen Hochstein, Cash Hochstein; 4 great grandsons; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Jay Griffin and wife Skip; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald William Braddock; infant son, Adam Braddock; parents, Edgar and Ruth Griffin; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
