Marilyn Maynard Obituary

Marilyn Elizabeth Maynard, 60, of Timpson, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2015, in Timpson, Texas. She was born on January 18, 1955 to Henry Clark Jr. and Lanie Martin Clark in Berkley County, South Carolina. Services will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church at 2 PM. Saturday September 5, 2015 with Bro. Doug Duerksen officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday September 4, 2015 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Taylor Funeral Home. She grew up in Berkley County, South Carolina in a loving family with her brother and sister. She married Jesse T. Maynard, June 23, 1979 and was blessed with 36 years of marriage. MarMar had a passion for cooking. Many that knew her loved especially her fried chicken, but when it came to food, she knew exactly how to prepare it. She has served lots of children in the past 25 years working in the Public School System Food Service Department. She certainly enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren. We will treasure the precious memories of her sweet smile, her kindness, her warmth, her energy and her love for life, family and friends. Marilyn was a member of the Eastern Star, Nacogdoches Chapter 428 and attended church at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Thomas Maynard; son, Lucky C. Litchfield Jr. and wife Julie of Lake Dallas, TX; Jessica E. Maynard of Nacogdoches, TX; brother, Tony Clark and wife Mary of Bonneau, SC; sister, Lynn Clark of Moncks Corner, SC; and grand children, Hayden and Harrison Litchfield of Lake Dallas, TX, and Nevaeh and Jacob Maynard of Nacogdoches, TX.; and numerous family and friends that will miss her dearly. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Henry Jr. and Lanie Martin Clark. Pallbearers will include Larry Molloy, Jamie Beasley, Jim Crump, Bill Radde, Danny Brown, and Dustin Norris. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Boles. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St, Dallas, Texas, 75219.
