Marian (Hooper) Bodiford

Marian (Hooper) Bodiford, 92, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2023, in Garrison, Texas. She was born on February 26, 1930, in Luling, Texas, to the late John Brinson and Geraldine (Howell) Hooper. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, Texas, officiated by Bro. Levi Cohorst.

Marian was a very loving and giving person. She took pleasure in taking care of others needs. Marian and John loved square-dancing when they were younger, and actually met at square-dance lessons. Marian enjoyed traveling, taking many trips over the years. She volunteered at Timpson Genealogy Library and spent time painting in her spare time. Marian was a member of the Carthage Lions Club and First Christian Church of Nacogdoches. She was a loving friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Marian is survived by her stepchildren, John Michael Bodiford, Sandra Clarke, and Mark Bodiford; nephews, John Thomas Parker and David Parker; niece, Diane Kay; special friends, Cricket Ragan and husband, Billy, Kalita and Whitton Thompson, and Chelsea and Jason Abernathy, and her little buddies, Cutter and Kodi; as well as a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Bodiford; parents, John Brinson and Geraldine Hooper; brothers, Gene William Hooper and Jon Ben Hooper; sister, Maude Evelyn Parker; and nephew, William Howard Parker, Jr.
