Linval Allen Johnson

Linval Allen Johnson, 84, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on February 6, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on April 29, 1937, in Gary, Texas, to the late Burtis and Virgie Johnson. Graveside service will be 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Corinth Cemetery, Timpson, Texas with Bro. Mark Manning officiating.

Allen was born and raised in Gary/Timpson area.  He was married to the love of his life, Peggy, on December 29, 1972.  They were married for 49 years at the time of his passing.  Allen loved watching westerns and wrestling with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed watching boxing matches.  Allen was a member of Carthage Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved his family with all that he was.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Johnson; son, James Ray Johnson; daughter, Wendy Johnson Gibbs; brothers, Larry Johnson, Lester Johnson and wife, Virginia; sister, Nelda Stephens; grandchildren, Heaven Henson, Haleigh Hodge and boyfriend, Fernando Garcia, Bailey Hodge, Bradi Jo Briery, Isabella Faith Briery, Kendall Henson, Brooklynn Hodge, and Gabriel Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Burtis and Virgie Johnson; brothers, MB Johnson, Laverl Johnson, Richard Johnson, LeLand Johnson, and Cleon Johnson; and 2 great-grandchildren babies.
