Linda Sue Wallace

Graveside services for Linda Sue Wallace, 91, of Timpson, will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Linda passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, in Timpson, TX. She was born on January 17, 1935, in Logansport, LA.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Timpson First Methodist Church.

Linda was born in Logansport, Louisiana to Vernon and Reta Moore Wallace.  She was raised in the Timpson area and graduated as Valedictorian from Timpson High School in 1953.  As a young girl, she became very interested in music, which awarded her a band scholarship to attend Stephen F. Austin State University.  She also went to Lon Morris College.  Linda spent many years teaching for Austin ISD before she returned to East Texas.

Linda was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church where she served as secretary for many years.  Her family was a wonderful part of her life and she cherished them very much.  She also had a deep love for her pets, Peabody and Oreo. 

She is survived by her beloved cousins who meant so much to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles.  She is survived by numerous cousins that meant so much to her.
