Leroy "Lee" Verl Bowley Jr.

Leroy "Lee" Verl Bowley, Jr., 61 of Timpson Texas passed away Sunday May 5, 2019 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Taylor Funeral Home, 511 Ross Graves Dr., Timpson, Texas with Bro. Kris Young officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery, Timpson, Texas.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 11, 2019 beginning at 1PM until service time.

Lee was born August 18, 1957 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from MacArthur High School and attended Kilgore College and moved to the East Texas area in 1994. He was a salesman and business owner all his adult life, and was an accomplished guitarist and singer, and loved to use those gifts in his father's church, Springs of Living Water in Dotson. There he also spent many years as a Bible teacher.

His greatest joys were his children, grandchildren and family, writing and playing music, fishing and basketball.

Lee is survived by his loving family, daughter, Courtney Blaine Ritter and husband Kent; sons, Cody Lee Bowley and wife Calli, Tyler Lee McDonough and wife Sydney; stepson, Kristopher Neal Young and wife Jada, former wife Linda King Wilson; parents, Rev. Leroy Bowley, Sr, and Jeanette Bowley; brother, Joel Bowley and wife Tammy; sister, Tammy Bowley Strong; sister-in-law, Kimberley Fletcher Bowley; grandchildren, Austen Lee Young and wife Joy, Caleb Kristopher Young and wife Alexandria, Paige Nicole Young, Abigail Jayden Young, Kainen Kent Ritter, Londyn Paige Bowley, Dalton Kreed Ritter, Fynlee Sue Bowley, Kohen Kye Ritter, McCrae Carter McDonough; great grandchild, Corbin Lee Young; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Stephen Bowley, Sr.; grandparents, Bill and Geraldine Bowley, William Richard Hicks and Florence Audrey Weems Hicks.

Pallbearers serving will be Cody Bowley, Tyler McDonough, Kent Ritter, Brock Strong, Stephen Bowley, and Jeremy Bowley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Bowley, Austen Young, and Caleb Young.
