Leoma Neill

Leoma Powers Neill, 91, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2017 in Garrison. She was born on June 24, 1926 in Garrison, Texas to John Powers and Rosie Hutto Powers. Leoma grew up in Garrison before marrying her soulmate James "Goat" Neill and moving to the Stockman Community. She spent many years with Goat before his passing in 1988. Leoma enjoyed cooking, socializing, and laughing with family and friends. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Stockman Methodist Church.

Leoma is survived by her grandchildren, James Richard Hattaway, Johnnie Hopkins Wilkerson, James Hopkins Jr., and Jodi Hopkins Lehman; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James "Goat" Neill; daughter, Bobbie Lynn Carlton; son, James Hopkins Sr.; brother, Homer Lee Powers; sisters, Luella Powers McNease Jacobs, Velma Pauline Lee, Onita Powers and Lillie Merle Powers Carter.
