Funeral services for Laurie Lynn King, 53. of Timpson, will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Taylor Funeral Home officiated by Bro. John Elvis Raines. Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery.

A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00am on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Taylor Funeral Home.

Laurie King, age 53, of Timpson, TX passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in the company of her husband and son.

Laurie was born on May 24, 1972 in Carthage, TX to Billy & Kathy Askins. She lived a life marked by deep love for her family, unwavering faith, and a quiet strength that carried her through every season.

 She was a loving wife to her husband, Brian King, and a proud and devoted mother to Justin King. One of her greatest joys in life was being a Zazu to Anni, Izzi, and Emmi King, whom she adored beyond measure. She also loved being a Lollie to her many nieces and nephews.

 Laurie had a gift for gardening, hosting friends and family in her home, traveling, and getting on Brian’s last nerve. She most enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and visiting with friends from the community at King’s Korner.  She will be remembered for her kind heart, generosity, and resilience.

 Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. Even in the hardest moments, she trusted deeply in God’s plan and found peace in His promises. We take comfort knowing she is now healed and whole in the presence of her Savior.

 She is survived by her husband, Brian King; son and daughter-in-law, Justin & Holli King; granddaughters, Anni, Izzi, & Emmi King; grandmother, LouNelle Billingsley; parents, Billy & Kathy Askins; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky & Roxie Askins; brother, Randy Askins; sister and brother-in-law, Linsey & Jerrod Campbell; nieces and nephews, Ethan Askins, Oliver Hilliard, Elliot Hilliard, Garrett & Drew Askins, Lauren Askins, Jaycee & Hunter Tipton, Alleigh Campbell, and Jackson Campbell; and many, many more loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles & Doris Askins and Edgar Billingsley and her nephew, Logan Askins.

 A visitation will be held at 10:00am, followed by funeral services at 11:00am on April 8, 2026 at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, TX.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Good Hope Baptist Church or that you honor her memory by loving others well and spending time with family.
