Kerry Whitton

Kerry K. Whitton passed away peacefully at Colonial Pines Health Care Center, San Augustine, TX, on Monday, October 29, 2012, at the age of 78. He had been a resident of San Augustine and Nacogdoches Counties for the better part of 60 years.

Kerry was a graduate of Texas A&M, earning both a Bachelors and Masters degree. He was an officer in the United States Army, and later a graduate of UT Law School. He taught math for several years in Port Acres, TX and also in San Augstine. He enjoyed reading and studying history, cherishing every word of hundreds of books that he read over the course of his life. He was blessed to have many long-time friends in the area.

Visitation with his son and cousins will be at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, TX, on Thursday, November 1, 2012, 1:00 - 3:45 PM. All friends are invited to stop by and share good memories of Kerry. No formal funeral services are planned. There will be a private graveside burial on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 4:00 PM, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson.
