Funeral services for Kathleen Taylor, 85, of Timpson, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday,
June 8, 2015, at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Timpson, TX with Pastor Carla Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30-11:00, AM, Monday, June, 8, 2015 at Taylor Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, in Garrison, Texas.
Born March 12, 1930, in Nacogdoches, TX, to the parents, Herman Angus Byrd Moore and Odessa Winder Moore. She grew up in the community of Garrison, TX where she graduated from Garrison High School. Kathleen furthered her education by attending Stephen F. Austin State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Homemaking and launching her career as a teacher. She enjoyed traveling and most of all being around her grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Tom Taylor and wife Nancy G. of Prattville, Ala.; grandchildren, Elaine T. Beach and husband Matt of Columbia, MO and Allison G. Taylor of Denver, CO.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen Taylor was preceded in death by husband Thomas E. "Ted" Taylor and son, Clayton Moore Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church of Timpson, TX.
