Joe Powdrill Obituary
Joe Loyd Powdrill, 71, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at his home in the Silas Community, Timpson, TX, with family around him. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Timpson, with Rev. Cliff Hughes officiating.
Joe Loyd Powdrill was born May 30, 1943, in the Stockman Community, Shelby County, Texas. Joe spent delightful years in spite of challenges and difficulties. After the passing of his parents, Joe was taken into the Schulz family. Mama Sue took special care of Joe. Thanks to LifeCare Hospice for loving care with Joe's terrible bout with brain cancer. Words cannot express thanks to the Schulz family.
Joe was preceeded in death by parents Vernon and Era Powdrill, who lived in the Stockman Community, and sister Jennabeth Smyth of Lake Charles, LA.
Left to cherish his memory are sister Joy Bonner and husband Robert of Many, LA (Toledo Bend); niece Becky Day and husband Bill of Houston, TX; nephew Reggie Bonner and wife Barbara of Scotsboro, Alabama, and their adult children and grandchildren; the Schulz family; and many friends that helped to make Joe's life delightful.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sue Schulz, Joe's loving caregiver.
