Joe Hairgrove Obituary
Joe Dan Hairgrove, 77, of Timpson, Texas, passed away August 26, 2014, in San Augustine, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Timpson, with Bro. Cliff Hughes and Bro. Eric Pledger officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Born April 20, 1937, in Shelby County, TX, Joe Dan Hairgrove was the son of the late Joel Otto and Leta Mae (Bowlin) Hairgrove. After graduating from Timpson High School in 1955, Joe Dan attended Henderson County Jr. College and Stephen F. Austin State University. On June 14, 1958, he and Betty Crump were married in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and he was a faithful member there at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife Betty Hairgrove of Timpson; son Shawn Hairgrove of Timpson;
daughters Nat Klein and husband Boo of Center, TX, Trellis McCann and husband Gary of Center, and Sutton Spieckerman and husband Jeff of Zephyer, TX; 8 grandchildren: Justin Klein and wife Tiffanne, Dakotah Klein and wife Erica, Taylor Brown, Wyatt Hairgrove, Tristan Hairgrove, Abram Hairgrove, Hadley Spieckerman, and Haley Spieckerman; 4 great grandchildren: Lieza and Liela Klein and Ryder and Drake Klein; " just like another son" Bobby Morris and wife Tracie; and " just like one of the grandsons" Gavin Pierce.
In addition to his parents, Joe Dan Hairgrove was preceded in death by brother Charles Hairgrove and sister Thelma Joyce Thompkins.
