JIMMY BOWLIN Obituary
Jimmy Word Bowlin, 74, of Douglass, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born on December 11, 1941, in Timpson, Texas, the son of James Word Bowlin and Love Owens Bowlin.
Jimmy grew up in Timpson, and graduated from Timpson High School. He spent many years working the in construction business and building new structures. He married the love of his life, Dottie, in 1966 and spent almost 50 years with her until the Lord called him home. He loved his children and grandchildren. He had a passion for horses and spent lots of time on them.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Dottie; daughter, Joni Lock and husband Chris; grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Macie Bond, and James Bond; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack Bowlin, Herbert Bowlin; and sister, Ostine Harrell.
