Gloria (Ledesma) Delgado

Gloria “Mana” Ledesma Delgado, 75, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2023, in Timpson, Texas. She was born on June 2, 1948, in San Juan, Texas, to the late Alfred and Maria Molina Ledesma. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas.

Gloria was an extraordinary woman. She married the love of her life, Joe Delgado when they were just 17 years old. They spent a wonderful 58 years together. Through their lives together they raised 6 beautiful children. Gloria spent her life being a seamstress. She would make dolls and clothes for her children and family. Gloria loved music and was known for her opera style voice. She was very talented at many things including painting and pottery. Gloria enjoyed collecting antiques and dolls. She was blessed in her life to help so many people. Gloria was the best mom any of her children could ever ask for. She was loving and caring. Gloria loved the Lord and taught all her children to serve God. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Joe Delgado, Sr.; her children, Diane Delgado Lachney, Abel Delgado, Rachel Delgado Garcia, Joanna Delgado Arredendo, and Nichole Delgado; her sisters, Mary Edwards, Sandy Chatham, Janie Acosta, and Elda Bernal; brothers, Fernando Ledesma, Louis Ledesma, and Roy Ledesma; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Maria Ledesma; son, Joe Delgado, Jr.; and siblings, Sylvia Ledesma Fox, Humberto Ledesma, Wally Ledesma, Alfred Ledesma, Jr., Jesse Ledesma, and Joe Ledesma.
