Eula Annice Richardson Hughes, 86, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on April 5, 2018 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Born September 26, 1931, in Center, Texas, Eula Annice is the daughter of the late Donley S. and Ruby (Waits) Richardson.
Eula was born and raised in Shelby County. She married the love of her life, Howard Lynn Hughes, in September 1951 and spent over 53 years with him before his passing in 2005. Together they raised three wonderful children whom Eula enjoyed spending much time with. Eula enjoyed fishing and camping on the Sabine River and Murvaul Creek early in life. She enjoyed the outdoors, watching the birds, gardening, and working the flowers. She also loved doing crafts, sewing, crocheting, and listening to country music. Eula treasured the moments she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved each one of them immensely.
She is survived by her sons; Michael Hughes and wife Marie of Nacogdoches, Texas, Thomas Hughes and wife Angela of Garrison, Texas; daughter, Deborah Moore and husband David of Palestine, Texas; special family member, Tracy Marshall and husband Ed of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Stacy Hughes and wife Kayla, Karen Payne and husband Eddy, April Moore, Austin Moore and wife Jennifer, Tommy Hughes, Christina Thompson and husband Wes, Richard Hughes; great grand-children, Jessy Reeves and husband Justin, Branden Hughes, Haley Casey and husband Colton, Kelsey Payne, Mackenzie Payne, Aliya Guster, Jayla Guster, A.J. Moore, Levi Moore, Jaxson Moore; Great great-grandchildren, Presleigh Casey, Conley Casey; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Howard Lynn Hughes; and brother, Harold Richardson.
