Edna Mae Austin

Edna Austin, 76, of Timpson, Texas passed away on January 2, 2020 in Timpson, Texas. Born December 2, 1943, in , Tenaha, Texas, Edna is the daughter of the late Ab B. and Thelma Blanchard (Park) Dill. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 1:00PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas.

Edna grew up in Nacogdoches and Shelby County, Texas. She married the love of her life, Harvey Eugene Austin, August 31, 1963. She traveled the world going to France, Germany, Turkey, and even Spain while Harvey was serving in the United States Air Force. She went along side him to support him through his journey. They had one beautiful daughter, Beverly. They spent over 53 wonderful years together before his passing in 2017. Edna was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, especially caring for plants and flowers of any kind. She was a very active person. Edna stayed busy. She enjoyed trips to Shreveport to eat. She was always on the go.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Jean Woods and husband, William; brothers, Albert Dill and wife Birgit; Frank Dubois, Rocky Dubois, Jerry Dubois, Brian Baker; sister, Peggy Greenwood; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Eugene Austin; parents, Ab B. and Thelma Blanchard Park Dill Howard; mother, Vera Peterson Dill; brother, James Roy Dill; and sister, Addie Ruth Hammack.
