Duane Doble Obituary

Duane Earl Doble, 79, of Timpson, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 25, 2020 in his home in Timpson, Texas. He was born on September 21, 1941 in Grandforks, North Dakota, to the late Oscar Doble and Ann Marie (Werre) Doble. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Duane was born and raised in Grandforks, North Dakota. He graduated high school and entered the workforce as a pipefitter. He continued this lifelong career and was a proud member of Pipefitters Local 300 Union. Duane met the love of his life, Mary Berglund, and the two spent over 30 years together. Together they moved to Colorado, and later made their home in Timpson, Texas. Duane was a member of American Legion Post 157. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos. Duane was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved watching NASCAR racing.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Berglund; daughters, Loretta Goolsby and husband Charles of Timpson, Texas , Lisa Berglund of Centennial, Colorado, Linda Long of Centennial, Colorado; brothers, Lloyd Doble of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Robert Doble and wife Carol of Surprise, Arizona, William Doble and wife Meredith of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Darlene Dufault and husband Rodney of Aberdeen, South Dakota; grandchildren, Chad Olson and wife Elizabeth of Two Harbors, Minnesota, Ryan Apodaca of Loveland, Colorado, Brandon Long of Centennial, Colorado, Justin Long of Centennial, Colorado; great grandchildren, Isaac Olson, Hannah Olson, and Leah Olson of Two Harbors, Minnesota; nieces, Sue, Anne, Lynne, Faye, Sherry, Lorie, Joellen; nephews, Scott, Tom and Tim; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ann Marie Doble; brother, Roy Doble; and sister in law, Esther Doble.

In lieu of flowers family requests memorial donations be made to Mary Berglund, 1982 US Hwy 84W, Timpson, Texas, 75975, to assist with final expenses.
