Funeral services for Doris Faye (Windham) Scott, 77, of Timpson, TX, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Timpson, with Bro. B. A. Morris
officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Timpson. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 15, at Taylor Funeral Home. Mrs. Scott passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Timpson.
Born August 14, 1936, in Center, TX, Doris Faye Scott was the daughter of the late Larrie Ellington Windham and Bertha Lucille (Solomon) Windham. Doris Faye graduated from Timpson High School in 1954 and married Bennie Mack Scott of Timpson. She was a member of New Columbia Missionary Baptist Church, Timpson, where she was church pianist for many years. Doris Faye retired as a secretary for Timpson ISD after many years of faithful service.
Survivors include son Rex Scott and wife Mechael of Waskom, TX; daughters, Susie Crelia of Nacogdoches and Renee' Faulkner of Appleby; brother David Windham and wife Anita of Marshall, TX; brother-in-law Jimmy Scott and wife Sharon of Lake Jackson, TX; sister-in-law Estelle Burgay of Timpson; 4 grandchildren: Jeremy Crelia and wife Juliah, Ashley Bueton and husband Adam, Erika Scott and husband Bradlee, and Emily Scott; 5 great grandchildren: Brannon Brooks and Laurie Ellington Bueton, Alexandra and Noah Crelia, and Rex Bradlee Scott.
Doris Faye Scott was preceded in death by parents Larrie and Lucille Windham and husband Bennie Mack Scott.
