Deborah Kay (Crump) Hamilton, 65, of Longview, Texas, passed away on August 4, 2023, in Longview, Texas. She was born on September 12, 1957, in Pasadena, Texas, to the late Bobby Gene and Betty (Cooper) Crump. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Timpson, Texas with Bro. Orval Miller officiating.
She was raised in Longview, Texas and attended Kilgore College, later becoming a Certified Medical Aide and working at Good Shepherd Hospital. Se was married to Neal Hamilton for 41 years and lived in Arlington, Kilgore, and recently in Longview, Texas. She liked to sew and make things for her house. She enjoyed old western movies and country music. She enjoyed riding on back roads in East Texas listening to country western stations.
Debbie was a devoted caregiver to her mother Betty for several years and then for her father Bob. She was a good daughter and loved them both dearly. Debbie also loved Pomeranian dogs and was actively searching for a new puppy to replace her beloved dog, Elvis. She enjoyed spending time with her family and talking about old times. She loved talking about old movie stars; anything Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. She was full of life and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an independent and free-spirited person.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Gene Crump and Betty Jean (Cooper) Crump; her brother, Douglas Gene Crump; and grandparents, Alfred Wylie Crump and Winnie Belle Ramsey Crump.
Survivors include her husband, Neal Hamilton of Kilgore & Longview, Texas; uncles, Doye Crump and wife Mary Beth, Ronnie Crump and wife, Debbie; aunts, Vickie Miller and husband, Randy; and Mary Shellhammer. She is also survived by numerous cousins, who held a very dear place in her heart.
