Funeral service for Carlos Jerry Adams, 83, of Timpson, TX, will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Timpson Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Justin Coburn officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, with Masonic gravside rites. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Timpson Missionary Baptist Church preceding the service. Mr. Adams passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Garrison, TX.

Born May 8, 1929, in Ardmore, OK, Carlos Jerry Adams was the son of the late Frank Lemon Adams and Velma Cheeves Adams. Jerry was reared on a farm in Oklahoma, owned his own air conditioner and television service, and was a member of Masonic Lodge #437 in Timpson.

Survivors include his wife Leatha Moore Adams of Timpson; daughter Wanda Hibbler and husband James; stepdaughter Paula Jean Davis; sons Gary Lee Adams, Jerry David Adams and wife Laura, and Rodney Adams and wife Dianna; stepson Micheal Grooms; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by parents Frank and Velma Adams and brother Carl Adams.
