Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 1:00pm at Tennessee Community Presbyterian Church, Timpson, TX for Bonnie Estelle (Knowles) Baker, age 87, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 19 at her residence in Timpson, TX.
Burial will be at the Tennessee Community Presbyterian Church Cemetery (5231 Fm 947, Timpson, TX 75975). Funeral services will be conducted by Chaplain Anthony Baker.
Survivors include her beloved husband of over 65 years, Kenneth Lewis Baker; her two sons Richard Baker (his wife Brenda Baker) and Lewis Baker; two daughters, Yvette (Baker) Bowen and Tanya Baker; sister, Sharon Paulson (her husband Steve Paulson); 8 grandchildren, Kenneth Joe Bowen (his wife Cheryl), Billie Myrick (her husband Robert), James Bearb, Jr., Nicole Baker, Ashley (Baker) Basco (her husband Michael), Jame’ Bearb, Anthony Baker, Kayli (Baker) Mathews (her husband Randy); and 11 great grandchildren, Brendan, Steven, Valyn, Jazmin, Kylie, Emerald, Cannon, Korie, Aiden, Cole, and Rylen. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Knowles and Alberta May (Hudson) Knowles, one grandchild Ryan Baker, son-in-law Bill Bowen and siblings L.D Knowles, Cecil Knowles, Carlton Knowles and Mary Anne Knowles.
Bonnie, a native of Mobile, Alabama, who later called Louisiana and Texas home, spent most of her life as a military spouse and has been a member of the Tennessee Community Presbyterian Church for the past 18 years. She worked in the past as a nursing assistant, substitute teacher, attendant, and school bus driver. Mrs. Baker, affectionately known as "Nannie," was a devoted wife, friend, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She was a true Florence Nightingale, traveling to take care of so many in their time of need and referred to these trips as mercy trips. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed traveling and loved the great outdoors.
Pallbearers will be James Bearb, Jr., Brendan Myrick, Steven Fuss, Robert Myrick, Randy Mathews, and Michael Basco.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Baker, Lewis Baker, Kenneth Joe Bowen, Cannon Myrick, Rylen Mathews, Aiden Basco and Cole Basco.
The family requests that visitation be observed in the Tennessee Community Presbyterian Church, located at 5231 Fm 947, Timpson, TX 75975 on Saturday from 10:00AM until time of service.
