Billy Ray Davis, 87, of Timpson, Texas passed away on June 19, 2018 in Timpson, Texas. Born August 25, 1930, in Timpson, Texas, Billy is the son of the late William Leonard and Annabell (McCormack) Davis.
Bill attended Birdville High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He was drafted in the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army during the Korean War in 1952 and proudly served his country. He worked as a Civil Engineer for many years retiring from Beacon-Bechtel with over 20 years of service. Bill loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling around the world. He spent much time hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his lovely wife Ann.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of over 28 years, Ann Davis of Timpson, Texas; sons, William R. Davis of Orange, Texas, Glenn L. Davis and wife, Pam of Springtown, Texas; daughter, Debra L. Gray of Huxley, Texas; son in law, Glen Parr of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, James R. Davis, Christie Bell, Cindy Hernandez, Amanda Beayrd, Glenn L. Davis Jr, Terri S. Mayhue, Carl D. Tackett, Louie Winters, Shannell Tackett, Mary A. Morris, Tara A. McBee, Robert P. Prichard, Royann Ballard, Amber Dawson, Brittany Parr; 35 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and spouses; brother, James F. Davis of Arygale, Texas; sister, Mary L. Stevens and husband John of Diana, Texas; aunt, Mildred J. McDowell of Lufkin, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ida F. Davis; daughter, Candice J. Parr; stepfather, Blair Russell; stepmother, Annie L. Davis; and brother, Leonard T. Davis.
