Amos Jackson "Jackie" Liles, 80, of Timpson, Texas passed away on October 9, 2018 in Center, Texas. Born May 22, 1938, in Garrison, Texas to the late Amos Marvin Liles and Essie Mae Clifton Liles. Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11AM at Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Hall officiating.
Jackie was born and raised in Garrison, Texas. He joined the United States Army and served his country proudly. When his tour was over he returned to East Texas and worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He could certainly fix almost everything. He did enjoy hunting in his spare time. Jackie married the love of his life, Lena Christel (King) Liles over 37 years ago and she remained faithful by his side until his passing. Jackie cherished the time he spent with family and friends.
Jackie is survived by his loving wife, Lena Christel Liles; son, Lewis Wayne Capps and wife Mary; brother, Joseph Franklin Liles; sister, Marvin Maureen Godwin; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lena Mae Bell; brothers, Ira Ernest Liles, Aubrey Thomas Liles, Jesse Samuel Liles; brother in laws, John Henry Bell, and Lynn Elvin Godwin.
