Alta Hudson

Funeral services for Alta Milford Hudson, 94, of Timpson, TX, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Timpson, with Bro. Carroll Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery, Timpson. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Corinth Church. Mrs. Hudson passed away Friday, January 18, 2013, in Garrison, TX.

Born July 13, 1918, in the Corinth Community near Timpson, TX, Alta Milford Hudson was the daughter of the late Flem and Annie (Bussey) Milford. She was married to the late Lester Hudson, and they owned and operated Fat's Tackle Box in Timpson for many years. She was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and spent much of her time caring for her family and friends.

Survivors include nephews Howell Glen Hudson of Timpson, Mike Hudson of Nacogdoches, and Joseph Hudson of Louisiana; nieces Gwen Billingsley, Cindy Summers, and Sharon Samford, all of Timpson, Ginger Voorheese of Tyler, and Joyce Scott of Garrison, TX; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

Alta Hudson was preceded in death by parents Flem and Annie Milford, husband Lester Hudson, son Harold Ray Hudson, and brother Johnny Milford.
