John Todd Bush was born on January 18, 1965 in Nacogdoches, the son of Leatha and John Cohron Bush. He spent his lifetime in Timpson and enjoyed nothing more than the beauty that can only be found in East Texas. Each year, although he didn’t need his harvest, Todd would have an absolutely beautiful garden that reaped many beautiful vegetables. Todd simply loved to watch things grow. He also had a passion for hunting and fishing, generally because it gave him a reason to spend time outside in nature.
During his younger years, he arrived at a gathering in Timpson where he met the love of his life, Cindy. The two were married at Lake Murvaul and have made many wonderful and lasting memories over the years.
Todd was a simple man who had superb morals and values. He was a “man’s man” but was a giver to his core. If someone needed something, he tried to make sure they got it. If someone needed help, he was willing to go above and beyond to do just that. The one thing that was most prized to him was his family. Todd loved deeply and those who were lucky enough to know him, had no doubt how he felt about them.
Todd is survived by his precious wife, Cindy; children, Katie Bush, Maggie Torres and John Tyler Bush; mother, Leatha Miller Hightower; and brothers, Tim Bush, Sean Bush and Trevin Bush.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Cohron Bush.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Amos, Rick Oliver, Victor Saunders, Muncie Powers, Damein Amos and Kevin Michael McLawchlin
