Although they are not licensed funeral directors, these staff members are vitally important to the operation of our firm. These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.
 | Chuck Beckham, Funeral Assistant Office Phone: 936-569-1366 Fax: 936-569-0981 Charles V. Beckham born September 18, 1931 in Austin, Texas; grew up in Bryan, graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1950 and served in US Navy as radio operator for four years; Married Amanda Dee Nelson May 28, 1952, 4 children (Dottie Smith, Timothy Beckham, Vanessa Gustafson, Kathy Tull, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; attended Hardin Simmons University, Abilene, Texas 1956-58. Employed by the State of Texas from 1960-82, in Austin, Texas. Operated a ceramic business with his wife for 10 years before moving to the Nacogdoches Area in 1983. Worked for Brookshire Brothers for 10 years. Worked in funeral business 5 years before coming to Laird Funeral Home February 2008. Member, secretary-treasurer, board member of Spirit of Life Apostolic Church Garrison 1983-2003. Member of Eastside Pentecostal Church 2004-present. Along with his wife, in 2002, began New Beginnings Jail Ministry holding services in Shelby and Nacogdoches County each week. |

I have lived in Nacogdoches for 50 years. I graduated from Center High School and later attended Nacogdoches Business College. I have worked in the Funeral Business for over 23 years, the last five months with Laird Funeral Home. My time here so far has been enjoyable and I look forward to continue working with the staff at Laird Funeral Home. |

I have lived in Nacogdoches County for nearly sixty years. I graduated from Douglas High School and graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 1951. I served my country in the Army Signal Corps For two years. I have been married for 55 years and have four children and eight grandchildren. I am a retired school administrator and have worked in the Funeral Business since 1986. I have worked at Laird Funeral Home for the past six months. |
